As part of our church's commitment to education and interactions that will collectively move us toward God's desire for racial unity and harmony, we have planned a series of events to help us learn how to have healthy, God-honoring conversations about racial reconciliation.
In July and August, we engaged in listening meetings with our leadership and families impacted by prejudice and racism. During a weekend conversation in August, we learned more as Todd Henley and Scott Feather shared their personal experiences with preconceived ideas and prejudice. Several of our fall Discovery Groups are learning more about God's plan and intention for racial unity in the church.
As we continue to engage in dialogue and explore what true Biblical unity looks like, we invite you to join us at our next event on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 from 1 to 3 pm. This gathering is designed for all those who would like to learn more about GTWY's current activities and future plans in the area of racial reconciliation. Whatever your level of interest or previous experience, we would love to have you become an active part of our collective journey as we seek after God's heart.
Please RSVP below indicating how many family members are included with your registration, along with first names of those attending. We will have light refreshments available during our meeting on October 25th.
Questions can be included on RSVP form and will be directed to Denise Truxler (757.636.9835 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
